Safer Escape is pleased to announce that the Modum Foldable Fire Escape Ladder has been evaluated in the newly released ICC-ES evaluation report ESR-4824. The Modum Foldable Fire Escape Ladder has shown evidence of compliance with ICC-ES Acceptance Criteria for Emergency Escape Fixed Ladders for Installation on the Exterior of New and Existing Buildings and Dwellings (AC539), dated October 2022.
The ICC-ES evaluation report ESR-4824 is considered supporting data under Section 104.11 of the International Residential Code® (IRC), Section 104.11 of the International Building Code® (IBC) and Section 104.10 of the International Fire Code® (IFC) under the provisions for “Alternative materials, design and methods of construction and equipment.” These provisions allow building officials to approve alternative equipment not specifically prescribed by these codes.
